  youths in school have meltdowns anytime someone “offends” them.

  grownups at a dinner table flip out on each other over politics.

  drivers are ready to smash each other up if someone disrespects them on the road.

  In the 80's a witness couple had a little girl. They gave the baby the course of shots and shortly afterwards she showed signs of brain damage and severe retardation. (I don't know the PC word for that, sorry). They swore it was the vaccination for whooping cough and pertussis that caused the damage, even threatening a lawsuit. It took a year or two but the baby was diagnosed with microcephaly. The family broke up and the 8 year old girl died in foster care. Tragic. It was not the vaccination. Protect the public, force either vaccinations or isolate those not vaccinated from public schools.

  1. He is a half-assed witness. Expect him to be unreliable in his convictions. The other wives may have known something you don't yet.

  2. He will become an uber-dub and expect you to convert, submit and become a Stepford wife.

  3. He is more mentally troubled than you think.

  One great thing about the attacks on your faith is that you still get to believe what you want and express it here. I don't have the God delusion any longer, but that doesn't make you a fool for believing it.   If you count the 7 years confined in that embassy, he did time for the sex charge. That is a lot of life wasted in that building. It's poetic justice. Now that he's out of there he will be caught in the world of political intrigue and the judicial systems of the nations. Should be fun.

  i think i’m going insane.... i’m 17 years old and being raised in a jw household.

  i really want friends and a boyfriend but i can’t have that because my parents are jw and i’m also homeschooled.

  they are those jw parents that refuse to let me go to public school because of bad influences.

  Take a deep breath and count the good things provided for you at this point. They house you, they feed you and believe it or not they love you and in their warped way have your interests in mind. SO, think how close to 18 you are. I assume that you do not have means to house & feed yourself. In that short time till you are 18 you can prepare for departure. Start saving money however little it may be, something is better than nothing. Trust me it will go faster than you think, then get to school and meet people to become friends and perhaps housemates. Cozy up to other "weak" kids in their late teens looking to escape as well. All the best.

  i'm just so sad and i'm so angry at myself for believing and living a lie.

  i hurt so many people in my family by becoming a jw....why didn't i listen to my sweet grandfather when he cried and begged me not to become a jw...i truly thought it was the truth...my grandfather cried...he was so hurt....my bible study teacher told me that satan would test me and my grandfather's pleas were my first test...he's gone now...years before i left the religion....i so wish that i could tell him that i am sorry and how very much i loved him...

  i was just enjoying a you tube video clip of george carlin explaining euphemisms.

  one of the ones he commented about is how people try to soften the fact someone is dead by saying, "they passed away.
